Matt Morris went seven innings on Wednesday to lead the Cardinals over the Expos 2-1. Morris has pitched 15 straight scoreless innings this spring and will start for the Cardinals on opening day. Mike Matheny and Jim Edmonds drove in runs with sacrifice flies for St. Louis’ only tallies. The roster isn’t complete yet, but it’s more in focus. Marlon Anderson and So Taguchi will be on the Roster. Kiko Calero is head to Triple A, which means Jason Simontacchi will be teh long reliever for the Birds. Security for the Cardinals opener against the Brewers Monday just got tighter. President George Bush will be throwing out the first pitch.
