At the NFL owners meetings, the Chiefs’ attempt to change overtime failed. They were pushing a system that more resembles college football, where each team gets a possession in overtime instead of having the first team to score declared the winner. The Chiefs also withdrew their proposal to expand the playoffs to 10 teams per conference instead of eight. It’s the second straight year the team has suggested it. Also, Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil said that he’d like to coach at least two more seasons.
