Last week’s public hearings in Washington, D.C., on the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon bring little new information to the ears of Missouri’s Homeland Security Chief. State Homeland Security Director Tim Daniel says he didn’t see a whole lot of new information come out of last week’s hearings on what happened before the terrorist attacks of Septemebr 11th, 2001. Daniel says the Commission has shown there were not the priorities on preventing a terrorist attack before 9-11 and the overall intelligence system failed. Daniel says there is a danger the whole process could become more political as the findings are to be released later this summer, when both parties are gearing up for their nationalconventions for President.
