A judge in St. Louis says it was a diabetes-induced psychosis – not Jesus – that caused Steven Johnson to run down a black woman. Johnson has been held to be not guilty of assault because of insanity. Johnson, who lives in St. Peters, had told police Jesus had told him to run over the woman because she’s black. The woman was seriously hurt. She was dragged for almost 100 feet after Johnson it her. The judge will make a determination about how long Johnson will be held after he completes a six-month long mental evaluation.
