The Drury Panthers’ quest for a national title in just their fourth season is still alive. DU topped Henderson St. 82-70 in their semifinal game of the NCAA Division-II Women’s Basketball Tournament. Drury made six of its first seven three-pointers to jump out to a 26-11 lead. The Lady Panthers finished with ten three-pointers and never trailed by eight the rest of the way. Head coach Nyla Milleson couldn’t have asked for a more balanced scoring attack from her team—Amanda Newton and Kara Rutledge scored 17 apiece, Jill Curry had 16, Allison Regier had 15 and Hope Hunt added 11. Newton was also a monster on the boards, pulling down 14 rebounds. Drury will face California of Pennsylvania, which topped Merrimack 89-65 on Thursday.
