The Chiefs came to terms with three of their restricted free agents on Wednesday. Linebacker Monty Beisel, defensive tackle Eric Downing and running back Derrick Blaylock all agreed to one-year deals. Beisel has made more of a name for himself on special teams than he has on defense, making 53 special teams tackles in his four seasons with the Chiefs. Downing has 113 tackles and 2.5 sacks in three seasons with the team. Blaylock served as Priest Holmes back up for most of the season, but proved valuable catching the ball in December when he had 106 yards receiving against the Lions. His performance that day included a 63-yard touchdown reception.
