The state’s largest electric utility is weighing in on the new guide for how the Army Corps of Engineers will manage the flow of the Missouri River. Michael Menne with AmerenUE says his company is most concerned about proposed low summer flows. Menne says if the low flows come during the hottest times of the summer, as is currently proposed, his utility would have a tough time generating enough power at a time when the demand for that power is at its peak.
