The Chiefs and Rams pre-season schedules were released yesterday and the date for the annual Governor’s Cup is set. The two teams will meet at Arrowhead on Monday, August 23 in a nationally televised affair. The Chiefs three other exhibition games include a home game against the Browns and road trips to face the Giants and Cowboys. Dates of those games will be announced at a later date. The Rams will open their pre-season against former defensive coordinator Lovie Smith and the Bears in St. Louis on an undetermined date between August 12-16. They’ll play the Redskins in Washington on August 27 and the Raiders in Oakland between September 2-5.
