Missouri’s hospitals get high grades in the Missouri Hospital Association’s first in a series of reports to the public on the quality of care provided to patients. The report shows how often hospitals provided currently recommended care for three common health problems: heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. Association President Marc Smith says Missourians should be very pleased that the state’s hospitals are providing patients with high quality care. The study was conducted between April 1st and September 30th of last year. 51 hospitals provided data, while another 33 have pledged to participate in future statewide reports.
