Missouri Republicans are holding caucuses today in the state’s 114 counties and the City of St. Louis in what is billed as the first stage in selecting national delegates to the GOP Presidential Convention in September in New York. Those taking part will select 1,983 delegates who will attend the congressional district caucuses next month and the Missouri Republican Convention in Springfield in June. The delegates selected today will choose the 57 national delegates and alternates who will attend the national convention in September and who will be pledged to President Bush.
