The SMS Lady Bears cruised to a 79-60 win over Wichita State in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Tournament. Jenni Lingor scored 22 points in the first half, and finished with 28. Lingor only missed two shots in the victory. Megan Tierney added 14 points for the Lady Bears. Southwest advances to the Missouri Valley semifinals. The Lady Bears play Illinois State at 8:30 Friday night. The Missouri Valley Tournament is being played at the Hammons Student Center in Springfield.
