The Blues winless streak extended to seven games Thursday, in a 1-1 tie with the Oilers at Savvis Center. St. Louis got on the board in the third period thanks to a goal from Alexander Khavanov—it was his first goal of the season. But seven minute’s later, Raffi Torres tied it up to force overtime. The Blues had eight shots on goal in OT, but couldn’t get score. Before the game, the Blues traded goaltender Brent Johnson to the Coyotes for forward Mike Sillinger. Two years ago, Johnson won 34 games for the Blues and seemed on his way to becoming their goalie of the future. In January, St. Louis put Johnson on waivers, but no one picked him up and was sent to their minor league club in Worcester, Ma. Sillinger comes to the Blues with 14 points on the season and he’s 12th in the NHL in face-offs won.
