The Missouri Tigers couldn’t take advantage of a three-point half time lead against Texas Tech and lost to the Red Raiders 87-76 in Lubbock last night. The Tigers shot 55 percent from the field in the first half and hit four-of-ten three pointers. But Tech erased that lead in a hurry and bulked up to a 72-56 lead at with 10:31 to go in the game. During one stretch, the Red Raiders scored 31 points in just under 10 minutes. Missouri was able to battle back and eventually cut the lead to four points, but they got no closer. Andre Emmett had 28 points to lead all scorers and Arthur Johnson had 24 to set the pace for the Tigers. The road has been a tough place when the foe has a record above .500. The Tigers are 1-8 away from the Hearnes Center against teams with winning records, though they do have road wins against Kansas St. and Indiana, which are both 13-13. Missouri has a 15-11 record and a 9-6 mark in the Big 12—they’re tied with Colorado for fourth place in the conference standings. Texas Tech improved to 20-9 and 8-7 in the Big 12.
