Three of the states four Division-I baseball programs opened their seasons with less than impressive results. Southwest Missouri State, which is coming off its first trip to the College World Series, went to Arlington, Texas for three games. After opening up with a win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday, the Bears dropped decisions to Texas-Arlington and Oregon State. They fell to OSU 5-4 yesterday…. Saint Louis University opened its season by getting swept at Belmont this weekend. They lost the series finale by a count of 7-5 after the Bruins rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth…Southeast Missouri State also opened up by getting swept. The Indians visited Oklahoma, where the Sooners pounded SEMO 10-2 in the final game of the series…..Mizzou dropped its first game of the season, losing to Albany 5-3. The Tigers are 6-1 on the year…In Division II, top-ranked Central Missouri State improved to 3-0 with a sweep of Central Oklahoma.
