The possibility that a St. Louis bank might have violated state and federal e-mail guidelines, and customer privacy, is being looked into by the State Division of Finance. Southern Commercial Bank sent unsecured personal data to an independent computer programmer. Southern says it has violated no rules or laws. The St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank says it also will look into the situation.
