After being humiliated by the Red Wings on Friday night, the Blues were looking to beat up on the Blackhawks on Sunday. Chicago seemed like a perfect target—coming into the game, they had the worst point total in the Western Conference. And for a while it looked like they would be a willing participant in St. Louis’ plan to earn two points, but it didn’t happen as the Blackhawks topped the Blues 3-2 in overtime. With the score tied 1-1, Eric Weinrich scored his third goal of the season, to give St. Louis a 2-1 lead with just under three minutes to go. The Blues’ celebration was short-lived, as Kyle Calder scored a power-play goal for Chicago with 1:28 to go in regulation. Chris Osgood gave up the game-deciding goal to Stephane Robanis with 19 seconds remaining in overtime. It was the Blues second loss in a row.
