Mountain Grove’s school board is cutting a half-million dollars from the district budget, and might cut even more in June, after it learns how much state aid it might get. School board officials say the cuts could end district funding for all sports, cause three cooks to be laid off, and could cut employee insurance benefits. The cuts also could seriously curtail after-school programs.
