The Blues gave away a 2-0 lead to the Coyotes, but bounced back to beat Phoenix 4-2 in St. Louis. Chris Pronger scored in the first and Doug Weight scored in the second to give St. Louis a two-goal advantage. But Shane Doan beat Chris Osgood later in the second to get the Coyotes on the board and in the third, Brian Savage tied the game 2-2. If this story sounds familiar, it’s because the Blues also lost a 2-0 lead over the Penguins on Saturday. But the stars were aligned correctly for St. Louis, because with four minutes to go, Jamal Mayers shot deflected off the skate of Phoenix goaltender Brian Boucher and into the net for the game-winner. Mark Rycroft added an empty-netter for the 4-2 final. Chris Osgood stopped 19 shots for the win. The Blues have now won two straight for the first time since beating Columbus and San Jose on December 16th and 18th.
