John Daly won a three-way playoff at the PGA tournament in San Diego to capture his first win since the 1995 British Open. Daly hit a 100-foot bunker shot within inches of the hole to win it on the first playoff hole against Chris Riley and Luke Donald. It wasn’t exactly a championship finish for Daly, who shot 75 on Sunday—it was the highest final round for a PGA tournament winner in 13 years. Daly played high school golf and football at Jefferson City Helias.
