The State Senate is going to equip one of the Senate committee hearing rooms with a new, 61-inch plasma screen TV. The equipment will allow those testifying before committees to make high-tech presentations, replacing the antiquated equipment now in use in one of the hearing rooms. The new television comes with a price tag of 20-thousand dollars. A Senate official says it’s being purchased from a fund that holds fees paid to the Senate for office purchases and is not coming from the general revenue budget.
