The Chiefs will have two vacancies to fill on their coaching staff. Quarterbacks coach Terry Shea has been hired as the Bears new offensive coordinator. He’s helped Trent Green develop into one of the games best passers and was a quarterback’s coach at San Jose State, where he tutored Jeff Garcia. His next challenge will be second-year quarterback Rex Grossman. The Chiefs will also be losing linebackers’ coach Joe Vitt, who will be accepting the same position with the Rams. A possible replacement for Vitt may be former NFL hard-hitter Chuck Cecil, who worked with defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham in Tennessee.
