SMS had a woeful performance from the floor, shooting just 38 percent against Bradley last night. But the Bears’ defense was smothering and held the Braves to just 35 percent shooting and held on to win 52-45. Despite the close nature of the score, SMS led almost the entire way, going on a 7-0 run to break a 5-5 tie in the first half and never trailed again. Kellen Easley was the only SMS player to score more than nine points—he finished with 14 on the night. With the win, SMS upped their season record to 12-6 overall and 4-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
