When is a blocked shot a bad thing for the team on defense? Ask the Missouri Tigers. Their 75-69 overtime loss to Texas last night was set up by a clutch block by Mizzou center Arthur Johnson. The Tigers led 61-58 with under 30 seconds to go in regulation, when Johnson swatted away a lay-up from Royal Ivey, but the ball bounced to Brian Boddicker who hit a three pointer to tie it with 6.7 seconds to go. In overtime, Mizzou was its own worst enemy in overtime, missing 4 of 7 free throws, while Texas hit all 10 of theirs. Missouri was 19 of 31 from the free throw line in the second half and overtime. Rickey Paulding was 6-12 from the charity stripe and finished with 20 points. Royal Ivey scored 10 of his 24 points in the overtime, to lead all scorers. Mizzou is 7-7 overall and 2-2 in the Big 12. The 14th ranked Longhorns are 12-2 and 3-0.
