UMKC’s season came to an abrupt halt at the semifinals of the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament at Kemper Arena in Kansas City. The Kangaroos lost to Valparaiso 71-50, despite Michael Watson’s 21 points. Despite the loss, the Kangaroos, are probably feeling good about the way they finished. After starting the season 2-16, UMKC won seven of their last 11 games. They were 9-20 this season. Valparaiso will face IUPUI in the finals tonight.
