As well as SMS has played this season, they just couldn’t get it done against the Missouri Valley Conference’s elite. Last night they fell to #17 Creighton 63-58 at the Hammons Center in Springfield. The Bears kept it close and even led 49-47 until Kyle Korver hit a three-pointer with 6:38 to go and the ‘Jays never trailed. The win kept CU tied with Southern Illinois in the MVC. SMS went 0-4 against both teams this season. They’re now 15-10 overall and 11-5 in league play.
