Fired Crystal City school teacher Jendra Loeffleman has appealed her firing. Loeffleman was fired after telling students she was against interracial marriage. She told her students – some of whom came from inter-racial families, that children from mixed-race marriages are more liley to be teased. In her appeal, Loeffelman says the school board didn’t have enough evidence that she had violated district policy against discrimination or harassment of students. She had taught in the Crystal City district for thirteen years.
