For the seventh time in the last nine games the Blues gave up the first goal of the game. In fact, they gave up the first two scores last night in a 3-1 loss to the Wild. Wes Walz scored both goals for Minnesota to give them all they needed for the win. Pavol Demitra netted the Blues only goal off a power play in the second period. Goalie Brent Johnson gave up three goals on 19 shots. The Blues are tied with the Red Wings for the Central Division lead. Both teams have 76 points.
