Only two states are doing a better job of vaccinating first responders against smallpox than Missouri is. The National Center for Disease Control says 119 first responders in Missouri have been vaccinated. Only Tennessee and Nebraska have more. First-responders are being vaccinated, voluntarily, so they can deal with private citizens who get the disease.
