Cardinals’ president Mark Lamping has told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the team has, in his words “received every indication” that St. Louis would get the 2008 All Star game if their new ballpark is constructed on time. St. Louis hasn’t hosted the mid-summer classic since 1966, the year Busch Stadium opened its doors.
