Senator Christopher Bond says if the United Nations won’t believe the presentation delivered by Secretary of State Colin Powell it risks becoming irrelevent. Bond says Powell has made a strong presentation, proving Iraq has systematically deceived U.N. weapons inspectors and has blocked every effort to get the country to disarm. Bond says it’s now time for the U.N. to act or else head toward extinction. Bond says the Powell presentation will sway many countries and help the U.S. build a coalition to move against Iraq. Iraqi officials have been quick to dismiss the charges.
