A mother who claims she repeatedly asked for a window guard for her 11th floor apartment prior to her son plunging to his death has taken her case to a St. Louis jury. Carla Hill has sued the St. Louis Housing Authority and Pinnacle Realty Management in the death of 4-year-old Terrance Hill. Terrance Hill died when he fell from the window June 12th of 2000 at Cochran Gardens in St. Louis. A box fan that had been in the apartment window was found next to his body. He had fallen about 100 feet. Hill’s lawsuit asserts she repeatedly asked that window guards be installed and that a tear in the screen be repaired and her requests went unanswered.
