Southeast Missouri State scorched the nets, shooting 62% in the first half against Western Illinois and lead 42-35 at the break. But in the second half Western Illinois caught fire, shooting 73% from the floor. The Leathernecks erased SEMO’s lead and went on to win 84-75. The loss dropped Southeast Missouri State to 7-10 overall and 2-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
