A judge in Johnson County, Kansas, has sentenced John Edward Robinson to death in the killing of women whose bodies were found stuffed into barrels. A jury had previously recommended the death sentence for Robinson. Today, a judge made it official. Robinson is handed two death sentences for the murders of two women whose bodies were found in Kansas, and receives a life sentence for the killing of a third woman whose body was never found. Bodies were discovered in barrels on both sides of the Missouri-Kansas stateline. Authorities in Cass County, Missouri, are moving ahead with plans to try Robinson on three killings in Missouri and will be seeking the death penalty.
