Reports in Washington say Congressman Richard Gephardt of St. Louis is about to start his presidential campaign with the formation of an exploratory committee to raise money. Sources say he’ll make his announcement in a few days. Three people already are announced Democratic candidates and at least three more are considering getting into the race. Gephardt is almost 62. He and Ike Skelton are the senior members of Missouri’s Congressional delegation. Gephardt tried a presidential run in 1988 but dropped out after the early primaries.
