A Wildwood family gets a Christmas gift better than any present it could have hoped for. Barbara and Michael Healy have been informed their health insurer – Group Health Plan Incorporated – has decided to pay for their 4-month-old son’s cancer treatment. Collin Healy is suffering from melanoma. The Healys had filed a complaint with the Missouri Department of Insurance after GHP withdrew approval of their son’s treatment, claiming the medication was experimental. GHP isn’t commenting on why it has reversed its position, other than to say an independent review board looked at the case.
