When state lawmakers get to work at the State Capitol next month they can count on strong lobbying efforts on the part of the state’s business interests. The Missouri Chamber Federation – a partnership made up of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and some two dozen local chambers – will take the message to State Senators and Representatives. State Chamber President Dan Mehan says there is strength in numbers, with the local chambers representing more than 17,000 Missouri employers. The state Chamber will serve as the lobbying arm of the partnership. The Federation’s top goals are workers’ compensation reform, budget initiatives, and economic development.
