The Chiefs special teams and defense gave them the edge in a 49-10 dismantling of the Rams on Sunday. Dante Hall returned a punt and a kick-off for touchdowns. He’s the 20th player in NFL history to accomplish the feat and the first Chief to ever do it. It was Hall’s third special team touchdown in the last two games. Duane Clemons gave Kansas City their first defensive touchdown since last season when he rumbled 42 yards for a score in the second quarter. Clemons picked up a loose ball after Eric Hicks knocked it from Jamie Martin’s hand. Kansas City led 35-10 at half and never looked back. Almost lost in the numbers was Priest Holmes who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns. He now has 144 points, which is a new Chiefs single-season record. After starting the season 0-5 and going on a five-game winning streak to get back to .500, the Rams have now lost three in a row, dropping to 5-8. Dick Vermeil was awarded the game ball.
