The president of Missouri’s second-biggest public university says the school’s anti-discrimination policy will never specifically include protection for homosexuals. Doctor Charles Keiser does not believe the words “sexual orientation” should be added to the nondiscrimination policy of Southwest Missouri State University. The recommendation from the change comes from a committee Keiser set up to assess how the school’s antidiscrimination policies are enforced. Keiser says the policy should not single out a specific group for special protection beyond the general policy statement.
