The SMS Bears beat the SLU Billikens 72-64 in overtime in St. Louis last night. Shelton Colwell scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the victory. Colwell also blocked three shots. SMS went on a 12-4 run in the final five minutes of regulation. Defense proved to be the game winner, as the Bears held the Bills to 1-9 from the floor in OT. All-Conference USA selection, Marquee Perry led the Bills with 17 points. It was SMS’s first win of the season, improving to 1-1. SLU is 0-2.
