A counterfeiter has put one over on Columbia police. A man posting bond for traffic violations has paid it with five fake $100 bills, and the police department didn’t spot the funny money. The counterfeit cash didn’t come to light until a municipal court clerk noticed the texture of the paper was different, but the serial numbers were all the same. Six Cllumbia businesses also report counterfeit money being passed.
