The Public Service Commission has released its report on the ice storm that devastated parts of western Missouri in January. It finds the utility companies did a fine job of responding to the extraordinary situation. But there is some concern over communications with customers, things such as letting customers know when they could expect the power to return. The PSC’s Senior Staff Engineer Jim Ketter says any customer who was without electricity would like to see better communications with utility companiesin the future. Ketter says the PSC will be working with communities and utilities to try to make improvements in this area to make it easier for people to cope with future storms.
