For many, Scotty Bowman’s time in St. Louis will be footnote, but for Blues fans it will always be remembered. Bowman retired right after his Redwings beat the Hurricanes last night to win the Stanley Cup. It was his record 9th title. Bowman was the Blues coach from 1967-1970 leading them to the Stanley Cup finals three consecutive times, but never won it. He’s also the winningest coach in NHL history.
