Missouri is going to receive $19.8-Million from the federal government to prepare the state for the possibility of bioterrorism. The funding is part of the $1.1-Billion that is being allocated nationwide through the federal Department of Health and Human Services to ensure the states are ready for the possible threat. Governor Bob Holden has received word from Washington that the state’s bioterrorism plan has been approved and the state can move forward in implementing it.
