The Royals had the 6th overall pick in yesterdays draft. With it, they chose high school pitcher Zach Greinke of Apopka, Florida. He was the Gatorade National High School Player of the Year. Greinke was 9-2 with a 0.55 ERA, striking otu 118 and walking 8. He was also a .480 hitter playing first base and short stop….The Cardinals took high school short stop Calvin Hayes of North Carolina.
