The SMS baseball team doubled up Southern Illinois 14-7 yesterday in their first round game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Bears starter Brad Ziegler went eight innings, throwing ten strikeouts. He threw an astonishing 144 pitches in the win. SMS will face Indiana State in the winners bracket this afternoon at 3:00 in Wichita.
