The State Supreme Court hears the death penalty appeal of a man who shot up the St.Louis county courthouse ten years ago. The case of Kenneth Baumruk goes before the court this morning. Baumruk shot nine people in his spree before security guards badly wounded him. His wife, who was on the witness stand in divorce court when he shot her, died. The incident led to the installation of metal detectors at the courthouse. He says the judge made several mistakes during his trial. The complete arguments of the Baumruk case can be heard on our website, www.missourinet.com later this morning. The Court also will hear an appeal of the death sentence given another man, Randall Knese, convicted in St. Charles County of murdering his wife.
