Governor Bob Holden is making it clear that unless the Legislature approves the revenue enhancements he says are necessary to fund a $167-Million shortfall in the state budget, he will immediately call lawmakers into special session. The budget for Fiscal Year 2003 was sent to the Governor last week, but legislation to fund the budget has not yet passed the Legislature. Governor Holden says he still expects lawmakers to complete their work by the time the session ends at 6 o’clock Friday night.
