The Cardinals spotted the Reds eight runs in the first and second innings, but it wasn’t enough. The Redbirds rallied to beat the Stockings 10-8 in Cincinatti. St. Louis scored three runs in the fifth, two more in the sixth and rallied for five in the eighth inning. J.D. Drew capped the comeback with a go ahead two-run homer. He drove in four on the day. Gene Stechschulte worked two innings for the win. He’s 4-1. Jason Isringhausen put the Reds down in order in the ninth for his eighth save of the season….Starting pitchers, Garrett Stephenson and Woody Williams will return from the disabled list this week. Stepenson starts on Tuesday, Williams on Wednesday. The Cardinals open up a three-game set with the Cubs tonight.
