The Royals were looking for their second straight win, but couldn’t get it done, falling to the Twins 3-1. Jeremy Affeldt got the start and put up some decent numbers, but still got the loss. He went four innings allowing just one run off two hits. The Royals only run came in the ninth inning with two outs when Carlos Beltran singled in Mike Sweeney. Kansas City travels to Cleveland for the first of four tonight.
