Cardinal starter Matt Morris went eight innings as the Redbirds beat the Cubs 3-2. Morris struck out ten, allowing just two runs off four hits. His only hiccup was allowing a two-run homer to Sammy Sosa in the first. It was Morris’ fifth win of the year. Jason Isringhausen pitched the ninth for his sixth save of the season. The Cardinals are off today. They face the Reds in Cincinatti on Friday.
